Welcome to The Hunter, an Award-Wining Interior for Elevated Surf & Turf Waterfront Dining
Since its successful opening in July 2011, The Hunter in Tseung Kwan O has gathered a loyal following of savvy carnivores and seafood lovers, who return for the restaurant's signature surf and turf menu, laid-back ambience, and views of the Tathong Channel.
The Hunter, which was named in the prestigious Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in 2022 as the winner of the Surface Interior category, caters for up to 122 guests with both indoor and alfresco seating. The space lends itself to any occasion, from lingering lunches and intimate evening dining to casual get-togethers for sundowners and even small-scale parties backdropped by stunning sunset views.
The restaurant’s interiors are a subtle yet tantalisingly theatrical balance of natural and luxurious elements, which set the scene for an unparalleled dining experience. The design of The Hunter was inspired by the ancient Underwater City of Heracleion in Egypt; dressed in midnight blue and earthy tones, complemented by aquamarine stone floor patterns and ceramic tiled walls adorned with eye-catching hand-painted motifs of a hunter’s journey, the venue offers a sensory and immersive dining encounter.
Open daily from mid-day till late, diners at The Hunter can expect comforting flavours with an elevated surf and turf menu, with a touch of gastronomic innovation cast through a prism of Mediterranean accents. The culinary offering at this seafood-steak-wine emporium is exciting and varied.
Key to the menu at The Hunter is the finest cuts of meat, cooked in one of the largest Spanish Josper grills in Hong Kong. This specialist oven achieves exceptionally high temperatures, forming an instantaneous crust around the meat while trapping in natural juices to enrich the flavour. The sophisticated touches elevate the classic surf and turf concept, ensuring the menu has something for every palate, no matter the time of day.
