Meet The Executive Chef Mohammed Bachir

With a career spanning over 25 years and multiple continents, Syrian Executive Chef Mohammed Bachir has a broad culinary experience and a signature flair that is personal, intuitive and inspired. Chef Bachir comes from a long line of butchers; raised on a sheep farm in Syria’s Aleppo region, famed for its rich repertoire of regional dishes, the chef grew up understanding the importance of a quality cut of meat and how to present at it best.

He began his formal training at the tender age of 14, working his way up through popular restaurants in Syria. He followed his passion for cooking and decided to relocate to Lebanon, where he pursued his culinary dream for another seven years, learning about the foundation of traditional Lebanese cuisine.

Chef Bachir then moved to Abu Dhabi in 2004 as the head butcher of the renowned Byblos Restaurant. Since then, his career has spanned many Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels in the UAE region, including Park Hyatt Dubai, The Address Dubai Mall Hotel, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Qbara Restaurant, Lounge and Bar in Dubai. This multicultural and international background is reflected in his cooking style, which is contemporary yet firmly grounded in tradition.
